Matthew (Matt) Walker joined Bernardi, Ronayne & Glusac in September 2015 after ten years at respected metropolitan-Detroit law firms.

Matt is a real estate and business attorney. He assists clients with both litigation and transactional matters including acquisitions, development and sales of property, leasing, secured financing and restructuring lending relationships, negotiating, enforcing and defending contract provisions and litigating disputes involving commercial transactions, security interests and shareholder/member disputes. He has extensive experience in the lending and title insurance industries and has litigated on behalf of both the lender and title underwriter in commercial and residential matters involving lender liability, ownership and priority, boundary disputes, easements, construction, forgery, conversion and misappropriation, agent defalcations, insured closing protection letters (CPLs) and large scale mortgage fraud. He is also experienced working with the Internal Revenue Service and State of Michigan to resolve outstanding taxes and liens, forfeitures and sales.

Matt received his Juris Doctor in 2005 from the University of Detroit Mercy School of law where he received awards for outstanding achievements in trial practice. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2002 from Michigan State University. Mr. Walker has been a featured presenter on various real estate topics for the National Business Institute and Michigan Land Title Association.

Matt has been repeatedly recognized as a "Rising Star" by Law & Politics, publisher of Michigan Super Lawyers Magazines. He also has been recognized in Crain's Detroit Business as a "Top Attorney in Michigan" for real estate law.
